Olga Krzeszoiwec Malmsten is an art curator and producer with an academic background in cultural studies and art history.
She has extensive experience in exhibition production, curating, and working with programming and educational initiatives. For five years, she served as a curator at Magasin III Museum for Contemporary Art in Stockholm. Prior to this, she worked for six years as Exhibitions Manager at Moderna Museet, where she was involved with projects featuring artists such as Akram Zaatari, Marina Abramovic and the Art et Liberté collective. She has also gained experience as a mediator, curator, and producer in other contexts, such as the Royal Institute of Art, Stockholm, the independent cultural art sector (primarily in dance and performance art), as well as the art gallery sector. She holds a Master’s degree in Curatorial Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Art History and Cultural Studies. In addition, she has a Bachelor’s degree in Italian Language Studies.
Olga Krzeszowiec Malmsten has curated both exhibitions and programme series, including projects featuring artists such as Mona Hatoum, Chris Burden, Dimen Abdulla and Lawrence Weiner. Between 2020 and 2024, she was involved in expanding Magasin III’s programme, which included collaborations with a range of artistic academies, universities, and vocational education programmes. In addition to these initiatives, she was responsible for planning and organising public screenings, lectures, workshops, readings, and performance series. This type of work has required sensitivity to the needs of various groups, effective dialogue and communication, as well as constant awareness of developments in the fields of art and culture.
