Patricia Furtado de Mendonça is the Founder and CEO of Acqua Mater, a multipotential Brazilian entrepreneur, inspirational speaker and storyteller, and a dedicated water-ocean advocate. She is an “ImPact Professional” at the UN Global Compact Brazil and a member of the Executive Committee of its Ocean Business Working Group.
She serves as a Steering Committee Member and Co-Leader of the “Training” component for “Ocean Literacy With All” (OLWA), a programme endorsed by the UN Ocean Decade and coordinated by IOC-UNESCO. Patricia is also a mentor and advisor for many global organizations dedicated to youth engagement on the nexus of water, ocean, and climate, including Waterlution, Sustainable Ocean Alliance, and UNFCCC YOUNGO Ocean’s Voice.
She has spoken at international events such as the World Water Conference (Brazil), UN Ocean Conference (Portugal), COP27 (Egypt), IMPAC5 (Canada), Our Ocean (Panama), UN Water Conference (US), and COP28 (UAE).
