Violeta Garín works as a Lead Communications Strategist. She develops internal and external communications plans to support fast-growing companies and boost innovation across organizations. She holds a Master’s degree in Cultural Management (UV-UPV) and also studied Art History at the universities of Valencia (Spain) and Heidelberg (Germany).
She was part of the founding team at Demium Startups, the first “indie” startup incubator in Spain. Continuously exploring new creative working methodologies, she enjoys applying them to areas related to cultural innovation and social entrepreneurship. As a cultural manager, she has produced, evaluated, and communicated international events since 2009.
In 2010, she co-coordinated KUNST+KRISE / ARTE + CRISIS, an intercultural art conference produced by the Instituto Cervantes in Berlin, involving prominent Spanish and German art professionals and cultural managers. The conference aimed to discuss the effects of the economic recession on Western contemporary art. In addition to acting as a content adviser and liaison between participants and the German counterpart organization Goethe-Institut, she assisted award-winning artist Santiago Sierra with the realization of his commissioned installation.
Between 2009 and 2010, she worked as a press assistant for the 27th edition of the Valencia International Film Festival – Cinema Jove. She has also organized cultural and language programs for Spanish students in Dublin, Ireland.
Violeta is fluent in Spanish, English, German, and Catalan.
