Born into a family of foresters, he first pursued a career in finance before dedicating himself to a sustainable economy that reconciles ecology and development. Convinced that a living tree holds greater value than a felled one, he promotes nature-based solutions to combat climate change and preserve biodiversity.
As a forest owner, he has transformed the Chaudes-Aigues forest (Occitanie, France) into a showcase for sustainable forestry and launched the Arches Castriotes project, converting a former vineyard into a model agroforestry site. A former president of Fibois Occitanie and a member of the CESER Occitanie, he has helped structure the regional forest-wood sector by integrating eco-responsible practices. President of the Montpellier Labor Court (Conseil de prud’hommes) and a member of MEDEF Occitanie, he works to embed environmental issues into economic strategies. An engaged author, he raises awareness of the ecological emergency through books and photographic projects. As an academician in Toulouse, he embodies a vision in which nature lies at the heart of ecological transition.
